Costas Españolas quiere acercar la costa, a nivel del mar a los navegantes costeros y, en general, a los interesados en el paisaje y en la naturaleza.
En Internet ya existe una magnífica aplicación que ofrece vistas cenitales de satélite de toda la geografía. Es una herramienta excelente. Pero deseaba mostrar la costa a ras de agua, desde el mar, como en tierra el caminante ve el paisaje desde el camino.
Sin embargo, no pretende ser este libro un derrotero, ayuda a la navegación que los navegantes conocen bien. Se trata más bien de un complemento que echaba de menos en mis navegaciones costeras, para entretener el tiempo identificando elementos naturales y artificiales de la costa, y para situarme con detalles que no da el gps. También puede resultar útil para hacerse una idea de la disposición de los puertos para mejor movernos por ellos, pues tomar puerto es uno de los momentos más deseados del navegante, a la vez que el más tenso y crítico en una navegación normal.
Cuando procede, muestro enclaves próximos y su acceso desde el puerto. Costas españolas es pues más un deambular cultural que un mero complemento técnico a la navegación. Antes de acabar, quiero recordar que una carta actualizada y un buen derrotero, son elementos imprescindibles en una navegación segura; la electrónica es un complemento muy útil.

Costas Españolas wants to bring the coast, at sea level, to coastal sailors and, in general, those interested in the landscape and nature.
In Internet there is already a magnificent application that offers zenith satellite views of the whole geography. It is an excellent tool. But I wished to show the coast at the water's edge, from the sea, as on land the traveler sees the landscape from the road.
However, this book does not pretend to be a pilot, a navigation aid that sailors know well. It is more a complement than I missed in my coastal navigations, to entertain the time identifying natural and artificial elements of the coast, and to place me with details that do not give the GPS. It also wants to be useful to get an idea of the layout of the ports to move better for them, because taking port is one of the most desired moments of the navigator, as well as the most tense and critical in a normal navigation.
Where appropriate, I show nearby places and their access from the port. Spanish coasts is therefore more a cultural walking than a mere technical complement to navigation. Before finishing, I want to remember that an updated chart and a good pilot, are essential elements in a safe navigation; electronics are a very useful complement.

El Puerto deportivo de Badalona es, según tengo entendido, el único de la zona de gestión municipal en lugar de estar dirigido por una empresa del sector. Es decir, que los cargos directivos y hasta donde no alcanzamos, son de designación política. Se ve a distancia gracias a las tres chimeneas de la hoy inactiva Central Térmica del Besós.
Está flanqueado al N por una larga playa familiar con una porción de espacio ocupado por lo que alguien define como un grupito de maduros exhibicionistas, y al S. por una calita de mala reputación.
El puerto está muy bien mantenido, tiene inquietudes docentes y es base de un pailebote, el “Ciutat de Badalona”. Alberga un gran restaurante chino de decoración sobrecargada al estilo oriental (a mí me encanta), con el que no se puede contar pues parece que es bajo reserva y para eventos. Hay otros espacios de restauración dignos que pueden solventar una necesidad, si surge en temporada alta, pues algunos están cerrados demasiado tiempo.
Los barcos están abigarrados y muy agitados por corrientes. La marinería es cordial y las plazas de aparcamiento reservadas a disminuidos físicos, se encuentran casi permanentemente ocupadas por vehículos sin distintivo, probablemente otra secuela de que la propiedad del puerto (el Ayuntamiento de Badalona) sea el órgano sancionador de ese abuso. El varadero está preparado para todo tipo de embarcaciones, incluso de madera.

The marina of Badalona is, to date and as I understand it, the only one in the area of municipal management, instead of being run by a company in the sector. That is to say, that the managerial positions and to where we do not reach, are of political designation.
It is seen far away thanks to the three chimneys of the now inactive Thermal Besós Center and it is flanked to the N by a long family beach with a portion of space occupied by what someone defines as a group of mature exhibitionists, and to the S by a little beach of bad reputation.
The port is very well maintained, has educational concerns and it is the base for a pailebote, the "Ciutat de Badalona". It has a great Chinese restaurant with too much oriental style decoration (I love it), where you can not eat unless you make a reservation or you go to an event. There are other decent restoration spaces where go eating if needed, if it comes in high season, because some are closed too long.
The boats are mottled and very shaked by currents. The seamenship are cordial and the parking spaces reserved for physically handicapped people are almost permanently occupied by unmarked vehicles, probably another sequel that the property of the port (Badalona Town Hall) is the sanctioning body of that abuse. The slip dock is prepared for all types of boats, including wooden.
